Before we get into it,
In March 2025, the Nifty 50 closed its five-month losing streak with a strong rebound, surging 6.3% (1,394 points). Bank Nifty also saw a notable rise of 6.66% (3,220 points). This marked the Nifty 50 index’s best monthly gain in 15 months, helping the domestic benchmark recover from its prolonged downturn and close FY25 with an overall gain of 5.3%, while Bank Nifty delivered a 9.4% gain.
The market’s resurgence in March was driven by investors scooping up beaten-down stocks, a return of foreign inflows following a selling spree that began in late September, and improving economic indicators. Earlier in the fiscal year, the Nifty 50 had gained approximately 16% in the first half, only to erase those gains over the following five months before the March rebound.
