Temporary Suspension of Fresh Subscriptions – Franklin India Corporate Debt Fund

May 5, 2025 . FundsIndia Desk

Dear Investors,

This is to inform you that Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund has temporarily suspended the sale of units of the Franklin India Corporate Debt Fund effective April 9, 2025, until further notice. The decision has been taken in the interest of existing unitholders while awaiting appropriate legal guidance regarding insolvency proceedings.

Here’s what will be affected:

  1. Fresh/Add-on purchases via Lump Sum, Mode Switch-in, or from any other Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund schemes will be temporarily discontinued.
  2. New registrations through SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) or STP (Systematic Transfer Plan) will also be temporarily discontinued.

Please note that:

  • Existing SIPs, STPs, or other special products registered prior to the effective date will continue unaffected.
  • Unitholders under IDCW Reinvestment Option will not be impacted.

The AMC has received proceeds from the insolvency resolution of Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd. and Reliance Capital Ltd., but these will not be reflected in the scheme’s NAV until legal clarity is received.

All other terms and conditions of the scheme remain unchanged.

For further details, please refer to the attached official notice.
