Investors should note that, effective October 18, 2024, Nippon India Mutual Fund will temporarily suspend lump-sum subscriptions, switch-ins, and fresh registrations of SIPs/STPs in the following schemes:
- Nippon India US Equity Opportunities Fund
- Nippon India Japan Equity Fund
- Nippon India Taiwan Equity Fund
- Nippon India ETF Hang Seng BeES
This suspension is in response to an email from SEBI dated January 28, 2022, and AMFI communication dated January 30, 2022, aimed at avoiding a breach of industry-wide overseas investment limits set by the RBI.
While subscriptions were resumed within the allowed headroom from October 15, 2024, the AMC has now decided to suspend further investments to prevent exceeding the limits as of February 1, 2022. Any lump-sum or switch-in applications received after the cut-off time on October 17, 2024, will not be accepted.
Please note, the suspension does not apply to intra-scheme switches between plans and options within the same scheme.
