Corporate deposit investing at FundsIndia
Investing in corporate fixed deposits using FundsIndia is a simple, painless process.
To invest in Corporate fixed deposits, an investor would follow these steps:
Choose 'Deposits' from the FundsIndia top menu.
Select a company
Select a tenure and option (compounded or periodic payout etc)
Specify the amount
At this point, the system will request the investor to provide a few information pieces that we don't already have. The system would have most of the information that it requires, but some information that is pertinent to this particular application might be missing. In that case, the system will gather these information from the investor.
After this, in some cases, the investor would have the option to complete the payment online for the deposit - for example, Shriram Transport, Mahindra etc offer this facility. If available, the investor can complete the payment online using their net-banking account. Else, payment would need to be made via cheque. The advantage of paying online is that the interest rate will start the day the money is realized (usually in two days).
Once this step is complete, we (at FundsIndia) will call the investor to verify the details of the deposit and confirm the investment. Once done, we will send all the documents to the investor's mailing address.
All that the investor has to do is sign the pre-filled form in the appropriate places, and send it back to us (using the prepaid return envelope) along with a couple of self-attested photo copy documents. If the investor would like to opt for Form 15-H (to avoid TDS), they can send it along as well.
That's it, the FD certificate will come to the investor's address directly from the company in a few weeks.
